"Timorous Beastie" Whisky is a distillate that comes from the perfect blend of several Malt Whiskies selected by Douglas Laing at distilleries scattered among the Highlands. A cut of great balance, which has precisely none of the "timorous" character that the name seems to suggest but is rather swaggering and uninhibited, both on the nose and in the mouth. A label with which Douglas Laing - a reality among the oldest and most prestigious in all of Scotland, as well as a member of the Scotch Whisky Association - lives up to its fame and blazon.

This "Timorous Beastie" Whisky is made by the Douglas Laing distillery from a selection of important and fine malt distillates made within the Highlands, aged for different periods. Among the various origins, we recall that some of the Malt Whiskies that compete to form "Timorous Beastie" are produced by Glen Garioch, Dalmore, and Glengoyne. After the selection is made, blending takes place, which is then followed by bottling - an operation in which the Whisky is not cold-filtered - and putting the product on the market.

Douglas Laing's "Timorous Beastie" Whisky reveals itself to the eye with a golden colour, particularly concentrated. The range of notes that propagate on the nose moves on a trace of honeyed and fruity notes, which stimulate a sweetish olfactory sensation. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a velvety sip endowed with a good envelopment; the taste that can be felt in the mouth is reminiscent of spices and fruit left to dry. A bottle that is also striking for its creative graphic design, depicting the "fearful" field mouse - hence the name of the label - told about in a famous poem by Scotsman Robert Burns.
