The Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Doppio Passo is an intense and structured red wine, with a very soft and seductive profile. It perfectly embodies the warm and Mediterranean character of the land of Puglia, made with the symbolic grape variety of the Manduria area. The richness and aromatic density of the grapes give gentle notes of ripe red fruit, well integrated with elegant tertiary shades derived from wood aging, which enhance its expressive complexity. It's a great gastronomic wine, enveloping and satisfying, pairing very well with grilled meats, roast beef, and spit-roasted game.

This Primitivo di Manduria Riserva originates from the Doppio Passo estate, which is part of the significant Venetian Botter Group, owner of estates in various Italian regions. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Salice Salentino, covering a total area of 1,500 hectares. The climate is hot and dry, only mitigated by sea breezes. The soils are predominantly clay and sand, resting on deep limestone substrates. After harvesting, the best clusters are destemmed and undergo pre-fermentation maceration at around 12°C. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, with a maceration period on the skins lasting two to three weeks. The wine matures for a total period of 24 months, of which at least 9 months are spent in wooden barrels.

The red Primitivo di Manduria Riserva Doppio Passo is perfect for those who love soft and fruity wines, intense and pleasantly satisfying. It presents itself in the glass with a beautiful dark ruby red color and bright purple reflections. Broad and rich, it releases exuberant aromas of ripe fruit, particularly red flesh plum, blackberry, black currant, sour cherry in spirit, soft spices, vanilla, toasted hints, dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, and light woody nuances. On the palate, it is warm with a smooth sip, very rich and aromatically dense, wrapped in a velvety tannic texture, leading to a harmonious, long, and very persistent finish.
